• Your email address - used for login, low-balance alerts, and support communication
• A hashed password
• Transaction records
• Server configuration and event history - provider, region, plan, and actions taken on each server (restart, delete, etc.)
• Any other data required to run the service

We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, or any payment card information.

How We Use It

We use your data solely to operate the service:

• To authenticate your account and keep you logged in
• To provision and manage servers with our infrastructure providers
• To send transactional emails - low balance warnings, email verification, and support replies
• To investigate abuse reports and enforce these terms

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to running the service.

What We Don't Do

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We do not run ads. We do not build profiles for marketing.

Third-Party Services

Running bithost involves the following third parties, each with their own privacy practices:

• DigitalOcean, Linode, Vultr - your servers run on their infrastructure. Server IP addresses and configuration are held by them.
• hCaptcha - protects login and registration forms. Its privacy policy and terms of service apply.

Cookies

We use cookies to log in users and track registration.

Tracking

We use Google Analytics for page usage insights and search engine optimisation.

Email Communications

We only send emails that are directly related to your account - balance alerts, email verification, and replies to support requests. We do not send newsletters or marketing emails.

Data Retention

We retain account and server data after deletion for a limited period for restoration, debugging, and abuse prevention purposes.
